Robin Sidebottom Chairman

Robin is a healthcare entrepreneur with over 30 years’ experience working across multiple sectors of the care industry, including more than 13 years in a senior executive position within SME, PE and PLC businesses. He is also a member of the Executive team of Scottish Care – the voice of the independent care sector in Scotland.

Robin started his career as a support worker, working with adults with learning disabilities as they transitioned from hospital settings into independent supported living. His career then developed into management and senior management roles.

With experience in both growth and turnaround businesses, Robin has worked in domiciliary care, supported living, residential care, and complex care across the UK, including Scotland and Northern Ireland. His wider experience of the care sector includes roles in Germany and Poland.

Robin has a track record in recruitment and retention and sees workforce development as the key to continually improving the care sector. He works tirelessly to deliver strategies that reduce staff turnover and increase engagement, through a hands-on and integrated team led approach.

Esa Reeman Managing Director (South)

Having started her career in 2000 as a care worker at a nursing home caring for people with dementia, Esa Reeman has built up a wealth of experience in the health and social care industry.

Past roles have included an auxiliary nurse for terminally ill patients, a registered manager, a Regional Director for a large domiciliary care company and more recently, Chief Executive Officer at Carmel Care. In her most recent role Esa, successfully received a Good CQC rating throughout all of the services.

In her role as Managing Director of the South for Valorum Care, Esa continues to promote the growth and development of supported living services, domiciliary care, residential and nursing care across the South, ensuring the highest standard of person-centred care possible, while promoting a positive work experience.

Paula Waddington Managing Director (North)

For more than 30 years, Paula has worked within the health and social care sector with involvement in both community and residential care. At the age of 19, Paula started her career as a care assistant for Leeds City Council, before progressing to a project manager role for the Council’s in-house home care service.

Over the years, Paula has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience thanks to her varied roles within the public and independent sector. This experience has become invaluable at Valorum Care, where Paula oversees an inclusive service which keeps everyone involved and informed throughout every step of their care journey.

Paula is passionate about ensuring care is delivered to the highest quality, and believes the knowledge, skills and experience she has gained over the years should be shared with colleagues so they can develop their abilities. Paula’s knowledge makes a positive difference to the way Valorum Care delivers care, which in turn benefits everyone.
