I have worked in care since the age of 16 working in Maran LTD the Valorum Guisborough service as a Volunteer then Junior whilst studying then once I graduated I became a senior support worker within the service. Since working in Marran and having a mental health background I have been seconded to Burger Court a Fellow residential home that specialises in supporting adults with mental health disorders. I have always been interested in how the mind works and helping people and first became interested in the sector after visiting my mother at work as she too works in the mental health field.

Burger Court is a specialised home supporting adults with mental health disorders. The service works by maximising independence and promoting supported living skills to help residents stay well, manage daily tasks and in some cases work on there skills so that they can go live back into the community. For the service users who aren’t able to go live in the community Burger court provides a safe homely environment.
