Samantha Haigh

I have worked within the care sector since 2003, working with children, the elderly, young adults with learning difficulties, and adults with mental health illnesses. My career began in private day nurseries, before progressing to the role of Senior, then Deputy Care Manager of a 50-bed care home for the elderly.

I have various qualifications including NVQ level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care and NVQ 3 in Child Care. I am also first aid trained and qualified to safely administer medication.

Through good relationships with those in my care, as well as their families and my co-workers, I am able to make positive changes that take into consideration everyone’s input. I strongly believe in person-centred care planning and I ensure everyone is treated with respect and encouraged to be as independent as possible.
